Aug 1-5| Mon-Fri 6:00-10:00 pm |Wedding photography is growing in popularity every year. But with so many practitioners and so much attention, why do so many contemporary wedding photographs end up looking the same? This class will challenge you to push yourself to make pictures that not only please your clients, but please yourself. John Dolan and Holger Thoss influenced major shifts in the industry by treating weddings as a subject worthy of serious attention, and have continued to find success by following their individual artistic visions instead of trends. This class reviews the progression of wedding photography in a historical context and challenges students to question industry assumptions and their own motivations. Class critiques, discussions and guest speakers help students form and market their own approach to the field.
